Tilbury Farm Holiday Cottages & Shepherd Huts with free Hot Tubs

The cabin was decorated lovely and the log burning fire was absolutely beautiful however the general cleanliness of the place was pretty poor, the soaps in the bathroom and kitchen were clearly the same as the previous people, the floors were dusty and clearly hadn't been swept or mopped, the oven was covered with crumbs and grease so we didn't use it and the fridge was leaking water. The owner met us at are pre arranged time but once we're there he then left and said he would be 15 mins, an hour and a half later he came back at which point it was pushing 8pm so we just wanted to chill out by then.

This review relates to a stay in a Shepherd Hut. It was a steep walk up from the carpark but Matt - the friendly and welcoming owner -helpfully took our baggage up in his 4x4. The view from the hut was worth it. The welcome hamper easily had enough food for 2 breakfasts for 2 adults. There's not much worksurface to prep food but wasn't a problem as we only stayed in for breakfast. Our only gripes would be that the matress could have been a bit thicker, and a teatowel would have come in handy. But that wouldn't stop us going back.

This was such a lovely weekend. We stayed in the Exmoor hut and it couldnt have been any better. This cosy hut is well equipped and in a private situation. Theres also a fire pit / bbq and an outdoor hot tub! We did some lovely walks around the area - Matt was really helpful when it came to local knowledge. The best thing about staying here was how peaceful it was, you feel totally surrounded by nature. Cant wait to stay again.
