I commissioned Matthew (Matt) Lawrence of MAL Guitars to build my dream electric guitar, we started with my ideas, we then developed the ideas together using Matts considerable knowledge of all the factors required for a successful build. At every step of the process Matt was a pleasure to deal with, he was patient with my indecision and helped direct me towards design and parts that would work well together and meet my needs. Seeing the guitar take shape from the carefully selected woods was really exciting with a fantastically resonant body, with superb neck and fretwork. My requirements for unique wiring was a challenge too, which Matt worked really hard to research to find and implement a great solution. Matts attention to detail together with his woodworking and luthier skills proved invaluable with producing a fantastic bespoke guitar that far exceeded my expectations. I am thrilled with the end result and I am really enjoying playing my dream guitar. I have even started selling off other guitars in my collection as I now have my ultimate axe ! I thoroughly recommend MAL guitars.

Matt built me a bespoke guitar. It was a new venture for me, I chose, under guidance, the wood for the neck and body, the shape and Matt discussed the options for the hardware. The whole job was professionally quoted for and I was given a final production date. I now have a totally unique guitar built and finished how I imagined it would look. It is a quality product and the attention to detail is amazing. Thanks Matt.
