We were sold by the idyllic setting and fabulous video on their website. We paid 320 for 2 nights in their adjacent lodge house. We have a 5 month old and a 2 year old. The place was filthy, very tired and quite frankly, only fit for the local live stock. We had pre-booked a dinner reservation on our first night, only to be told that they wont be serving dinner as the other guests werent eating that evening. I had also rang ahead and asked if there was a microwave so that I could sterilise bottles. I was informed there was. There was not! We were greeted by the owner on arrival (once we found him) and we were highly disappointed in the house. It was very dated and had a smell of damp. We decided to raise our concerns, as we could not allow our children to stay in such disgusting conditions. The staff were very very defensive and just couldnt accept they have massively missold their hotel. We were not happy with paying, therefore received a partial refund. We did not end up staying! Instead we stayed at the beautiful Hall down the Road. This was absolutely beautiful. Please do not be fooled by the website and lovely pictures, the place is unfortunately borderline dilapidated.
