Absolutely ridiculous! Ruined my Easter weekend!!!! I had a booking for my husband and I for a 9am slot because it was a birthday surprise for him. And we could not make it unfortunately due to an emergency. They could not make any reasonable adjustments such as a credit voucher or change the date and time of my booking. Their policy should be changed to atleast a cancellation charge instead of not refunding due to passing the 48hour notice period. Its disturbing to lose your money because something happened out of the blue. Their phone service is slow and the person on the phone was rude. Very disappointed!!!

Went back in September was a lovely time we weren't told of course we needed to keep our robes on for massages which was quite frustrating but we all had brill time and will be going back!

This used to be a wonderful place. After the pandemic, they put the prices up, charge for parking, and the spa is filthy. Doors in the men's changing room are broken. Lockers are broken. The floors are disgusting. They never fix or improve anything. Avoid.

I've been a customer at two other Spa Experience locations before and found them both quite pleasant. I was surprised to find out there was a branch of here in Welwyn, so enlisted a friend and headed down to scope it out. We didn't get any treatments this time, we just intended to check out the facilities. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The entrance and changing rooms are very well presented, walking in feels like a premium experience. The pool was a smidge on the cool side, but very pleasant. The view of the tennis courts wasn't anything to write home about, but the setting sun cast a lovely golden pattern across the bottom of the pool. I felt like I was in a music video walking into it. The variety of jets and massage showers within the pool was impressive, too. So much fun to press all the buttons to see what they did! Lots of giggles were had, we were smiles all around. As for the other facilities, my favourite was the Indian Blossom room. The smell was divine, and it was genuinely very steamy. I mediated in there for a good long while and came out with clear sinuses and a deep sense of relaxation. The laconium was nice too, gently warm and not steamy. The only issue was that the rocky diffuser didn't have any scent so there was a slightly damp smell to it. I'll be honest and say that the Salt Steam Room wasn't to my taste; it was about the same level of steaminess as the Indian Blossom room, but the smell was a bit... Biological. We quickly retreated to the sauna. The sauna was very hot and was probably the busiest of the rooms, but we did have a good few minutes in it before it got too hot for me. I'm a steam room gal, though. My friend liked the sauna best and told me to mention that she thought it was perfect. Lovely woody smell too. There is a water fountain by the pool, so make sure you stay hydrated! The towels they gave us were lovely and plush too. (No robes - they are only for treatments. I didn't mind, though.) Genuinely, I couldn't have hoped for better for around 16. Heck, I've paid much more for much less at other spas. I'd say it was on par with or better than the two other Spa Experience locations I attended. This one had a kitted out thermal pool vs the more basic hot tub the other locations had, but one other location was prettier. I did slightly miss the foot spa I remember enjoying at one of the other locations, but the Indian Blossom Steam Room more than made up for it. I will definitely go back soon, and I think I'll try a treatment next time. Better's Spa Experience nails it again!
