Located between Welwyn and Codicote adjoining the River Mimram this is the perfect place for walks, dogs, nature lovers, kids and families. Very easy walking. No hills or inclines. A circular clockwise or anticlockwise route takes no more than 30 minutes with plenty of benches to break up the walk and help relax and enjoy the peace and views. Primarily used by Welwyn residents the parking is remote, but well worth the extra few minutes to get there. Above all this is very well maintained and accessible through several quiet entrances. Avoid in the wettest weeks when the reason for the name "Marsh" becomes evident. But in normal weeks perfectly firm underfoot. July 2022, 30C up to 38C. What a bonus for the dogs to splash in the river and cool off in the midday sun! Mimram flowing nicely again, October!

We love walking around. The peaceful atmosphere of the natural landscape, with lots of insects, butterflies, squerls, even few caws the other day. The river.
