Obviously don't need the work so I went somewhere else.

Told me the coil spring was broken it had snapped. I did not believe them when I returned they said it was corroded WHICH IS IT?
Said I need new shock absorber. Unlikely

Update
I bought a top mount for 18, the coil spring was neither broken or corroded. The shock absorber was fine. See photo
We fixed it by the side of the road. No power tools or ramps, it took 90 minutes. I'm sure it would have been done in under an hour in a professional garage
Quoting 370 for this job was plainly nonsense. They were recommended by the RAC
