My kids love the LVKA. They have been going for few year and they enjoy every minute of it. The Sensei are very professional, understanding and they work with the kids very well. Highly recommended the Lea Valley Karate Academy is like a second family to us.

Amazing karate school, my son started lessons aged 5 and my daughter aged 7. It was great to see them grow in confidence and ability in a safe environment. The instructors are patient and will take the time to get to know your child. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been going to LVKA for two years and my son recently joined too. They both enjoy training with Sensei Daniel and Sensei Rhys. I didnt learn martial arts personally, but what I like about their training is that they make lessons fun, while keeping learning content solid and includes elements of discipline. Even though class may have as many as 20-30 students when busy, Sensei takes care of each students movement and progress. I see why my children like attending sessions. It has a nice community feel. My children were fortunate to attend summer karate week recently. They had a great time and they are already talking about next one. (Next year ?) It had all levels and its age range looked to be 3-18. It was pleasing to watch advanced students help junior ones and how older students look after little ones. Older students were demonstrating great examples not only by their techniques but also their focus and professionalism. As a parent of primary school children, I tend to come across negative attitude and opinion towards teen-aged children. I had worries at times when I read some horrible news. However, while watching their older students focus on training and looking after younger ones, I realise how wrong I was about young generation. Another great this for us parents is that, they are flexible in that students can attend any sessions in a month. I took children to St Albans venue on Monday when I had other commitments on usual day. As children didnt need to miss lessons, it helped me to remain focused on myself too. If anyone is looking to start training, Id strongly recommend LVKA. I thank Senseis for teaching my two, and hope to have long associations with the Club.
