DG Architecture

We were very lucky to have worked with Mick via a recommendation. We approached him with a very loose plan to renovate and improve an inherited property. Mick listened to our hopes and plans for the property and really took the time to understand what we hoped to achieve. He understood this would be our forever home and offered us ideas and creative input that we hadn't even thought about. He drew up three detailed plans with differing budgets and once we had decided he then drew up the architectural plans and documents. Mick then took the time (hours) to talk through and refine every detail of the project from floors to plug sockets. This left us no surprises in terms of budget or scope of project and prevented us running into extra costs. He dealt with planning permissions/council/building regs. We are thrilled with the end result and cannot recommend him enough.

Mick and Leo at Dacegrade were an absolute pleasure to work with on our commercial extension. They are both incredibly knowledgeable and they really added value to the design element of the project by helping us to question our motives for the build and thereby ensuring that it delivered what we hadnt even yet realised what we needed! The build itself was very well managed and any small issues were easily rectified. I would have no hesitation in recommending them or indeed using them for any future projects.

Just a Shortt note to give both an owners and personal review of Decegrade Ltd. Sadly (not due to a lack of diligence) we instructed an architect that unfortunately both let us down and caused major problems with the local authority, due to incompetence and a lack of knowledge and professionalism. This is where Mick and Leo became involved. We quickly instructed this duo to put right with the local authority and generally hold our hands durning the process. From the word go, they were approachable, kind, informative, knowledgable and most important experienced in their field. What had been a mess and nightmare due to the previous incumbent, became a clean concise and organised plan of action and dialogue with the local authority. We had a plan A, B and C. We were given honest but concise and realistic updates. The outcome? Planning approved and a real appreciation for this partnership. A team of professional architects that in hindsight we wished we had known and commissioned at the start of our project. Take note. Do your homework, do it again, then commission these guys. Mick provided us with the plans for extending our house. He was a very nice person to deal with and understood our requirements immediately. The plans were of a very high standard and impressed the builders that used them. He was very knowledgable about the various aspects of the build and offered excellent advice upon how to deal with neighbours and party wall agreements. I have happily recommended Dacegrade Ltd to friends and would continue to do so.
