Beautiful traditional Fenland country pub and inn with beer garden. Active coal fire with multiple seating arrangements in two separate sections. Celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary there in 2008 before departing to live in USA, then again for our 40th (ruby) in 2023 while back on holiday. Shared scampi and chips and minestrone soup starters, which were ok, but likely not homemade. Good choices of bitters, ales, lagers and mixed drinks. Ambience: 5-star; Food selection: 4-star; Food quality: 3-star; Service: 5-star; Parking: 5-star; Price: 4-star; Value: 4-star. Overall: 4-star
