I had two options for my house move and I picked this company because I fell for the local, family run business line. However after dealing with them I strongly recommend you find an alternative. My experience unfortunately is the same as some of the other reviewers. A total lack of care during my move and refusal to respond to me to deal with a number of items they damaged afterwards. Avoid at all costs!

Moving home can be a very stressful experience. Its important therefore that the company one selects to do the heavy work is reliable, experienced, respectful and economic. After receiving three estimates T Wicks and Son was selected in the hope they fulfilled our expectations. Having had several previous experiences of moving home we opted to do our own packing/unpacking. This is more economic if one has the time and understands the methodology of secure packing. Im happy to recommend this company in all respects. Any negatives? Yes. T Wicks and Son, unlike some removal companies, do not charge extra for their packing boxes, wrapping paper and sealing tape. The reason soon became apparent. The age and quality of some of the packing boxes was questionable. It makes sense, of course, to reuse packing material but I feel the company should weed out boxes no longer rigid or otherwise suitable for further use. To counter any problem that might be encountered, the company is willing to supply extra boxes. On balance we found this company good to deal with.
