Whatever you do, dont let your loved one move to The Abbeyfield in Wells. The info on their page isnt even up to date , they dont have in live in staff at all. The food doesnt look like that either. The only godsend is Jackie, if it was not for her efforts there would be no activities at all. Trips out are a rarity not the impression theygive though. Residents spend most of their time in their rooms alone. This Abbeyfield does NOT follow the ethos of the umbrella Abbeyfield.

My Grandma lives within Abbeyfield and it has been nothing less than a heaven send, not only do the staff provide an awesome service, they also give company, provide a service most homes cant provide. Staff are lovely, happy and willing to help. My grandma has been so much happier since moving in and has been within the home for a long while now. They make it easy to put our mind at rest knowing she is safe and well looked after, but also relieves the stress of living alone and worrying about every day life, such as cooking, cleaning, gardening and general wellbeing. The room has enough space for living, aswell as other rooms to use to socialise with other people within the abbeyfield family and if that's not enough a well maintained garden for when the weathers not too wet. I cannot thank the staff enough, nor can I reccomend the home enough. Thank you.
