        My experience of using Thompsons carpets was a catalogue of woe. The shop forgot to book the fitter on the agreed date causing a delay; the vinyl laid had a flaw which required attention; the staff did not respond to rectifying the fault until I phoned a week later; the staff refused to complete the sealant between the bath panel and the new vinyl; the staff made it clear that payment was their prime objective, not customer satisfaction. I was advised with poor grace by the member of staff that the job "had already made a loss". Not recommended
