This return trip was an unexpected delight on a sunny June day. Beautiful experience, scenery. Great staff running it. The excitement of a tiny steam train, the hoot hoot of the whistle. Plan your trip to allow a few hours visit at the Abbey at Walsingham if you go from Wells. They'll stop at the Halts of Wighton or Warham if you request it. Fabulous slow 30 min trip through countryside. Highly recommended. Check times as limited schedule.

Really enjoyed the little railway - great journey to Little Walsingham from Wells. Wonderful views of the lovely countryside and all great fun. Little Walsingham is only a very short walk from the station and such a pretty place - a great way to get there. One of THE things to do if holidaying in Wells.

We normally have an amazing day on this lovely little railway and we will come again but for bank holiday Sunday it was a complete fiasco. We arrived to find a long queue for the train then an official brought out tickets and officially opened up . We waited in the queue for over a quarter of an hour whilst he whisked in and out of the tea room, presumably to find a card reader that worked. By the time it got to our turn there were limited spaces available, you could not be seated together as all that was available were random seats . For covid times, the train was too packed and I did wonder how they were going to get the next six or seven families behind us on. More to the point, how would they get everyone back supposing the train actually got to Walsingham with all that weight to carry. We turned back sadly and went home. A disappointing day for us I'm afraid. Health and safety was not adhered to either.
