Waterwise Leak Detection

Following being advised by Anglian Water we had a water leak of 30 plus litres per hour and it was our responsibility. Martin responded quickly to my call. He was very professional in sourcing the leak which was eventually found to be under the front drive. They returned to fix the leak which required cutting a section out of the tarmac drive. This was undertaken very neatly with the minimum of disturbance and I am pleased to say fixed the leak. The report Martin provided following the work was excellent and has enabled us to go back to Anglian water regarding refund for the costs. After being let down by my insurance company leaving my home with no water I found Martin as one of the recommended plumbers on the Anglian Water website, On contacting Martin he tried to get to me as soon as he was free the same day repairing the pipe work and leaving the area clean and tidy. We discovered a central heating leak under our slab a few days before new flooring was going down. I called Waterwise and spoke to Martin who kindly offered to shuffle some jobs around the next day so that he could accommodate me. Watching him work was fascinating, using thermal detection, accoustic detection and tracer gas he was able to pinpoint the leak right under the floor in the middle of the living room. When he made access, it seemed as though the pressure fro the new combi boiler was too much for some old joints which had blown. Martin was happy that the copper pipe was protected correctly under the slab and that we shouldn't have any issues with concrete eating it away which is a worry when copper and concrete touch apparently. Once he fixed the joints, he did full pressure testing to make sure all was good. Happy to report pressure maintained and nonusagenof water in the evening on our Anglian water App (another tip from Martin). Martin also advised on using our own loss assessor for the insurance claim. All in all a great guy, really wasn't to deal with, goes out of his way, is super professional and totally capable of detecting and fixing leaks.
