Update: A positive discussion with the the family owners. It was explained due to inflation and rising maintenance costs the course will not be revising pricing. It is a shame as I have friends (early 20s) who cannot afford 30 a round for regular golf so they will only be playing Welford as a one off from time to time.
That being said, the greens were in very good condition (14th August) considering the heatwave and recent weather weve experienced and fairways and tee boxes were freshly mown.
