Unfortunately, as first impressions go, I can't say I rate this site very highly. Main points I personally noted about the site are (and by no means are these all negative, just my observations. This is also based on my visit some months ago during 2022): Safe zone Car parking is after a shortish drive along a dirt track. No car park as such, mostly you just park on the track itself as close as possible to the safe zone. The safe zone was fairly small, but mostly was undercover to its credit. If all seats are taken it's basically tough, you'd have to sit at your car, or ensure you bring your own camping chairs/table. I personally felt the music they played can be a bit loud, especially when trying to talk to friends, not sure if this is the norm with the music though. There are toilets, not running water and not really clean, no chem flush in the Portaloo I used, no paper, no hand cleaner. Urinals are rusty cut in half barrels/drums. Game Area The game area seemed massive. I feel like I didn't even experience half of it during my visit, which is impressive. This is nice to have, plenty of space, however without large player numbers or good game structure with properly designed areas for them, it just tends to be a snipers' paradise in a mostly unmodified woodland. The first game was superb though, basically a push-back style from the top of the track, through buildings and structures so fairly CQB, down towards the safe zone. After this though, it all seemed to go down hill.. Community/Marshals I don't normally rate a site based on how players are on the day, but the amount of cheating after the morning was rife, made worse by how the marshals didn't seem to want to do anything about it. I've experienced so many sites that have poor marshals, it seems like a huge problem no matter where you go. Marshals who either don't know how or can't be bothered to marshal, and just assume airsoft just 'plays itself'. Although airsoft does, to an extent, a lack of good marshalling leads to cheating or cheat-calling in my experience, making it a poor site where you feel that lack of effort and organisation. There was also a distinct lack of briefing too, as most games were barely briefed, and just assumed you're a regular and know the games. Granted the site had a map of the game area, which is nice to have if you're not a regular, but if games aren't briefed well or you don't wait for all players to walk up before starting the brief, the outcome is very clear of how the game will go.. Overall then, the site has a great amount of space to play in but not a good ethos. I've experienced sites before like this, where it feels like they just cater for the regulars who are either happy or don't care about how the site is. Unless, of course, you're a lone wolf sniper, whereby you'll maybe have a better time. It also doesn't help when I have to take into consideration our conversation with someone (who allegedly was a/the owner) who spoke about how he was tired/didn't really like airsoft, and would rather be doing other things (such as fishing/camping, I believe it was). When you have an opinion like that, are you not surprised that the site is like what it is?
