I occasionally call in to the spar, Burman Road, either on my way to or from work, and to say there is huge difference in the reception I get is a total understatement. Most of the staff team are pleasant and polite, being quite happy to pass the time of day with me, just what you want from a local store. However one woman has a permanent scowl on her face and finds it almost impossible to look me in the eye let alone be pleasant and welcoming. I have no idea what I may have done to deserve such unprofessional, bordering on ignorant treatment from some one who is supposed to serve the local community. There is one thing for certain, it will need hell to freeze over before I risk entering such an unwelcoming and unpleasant environment again. There are too many other shops in the area where the staff are happy in their job, a situation which clearly is the case for this woman. I suppose I could avoid Sunday evenings, when this woman usually in store, but why should I.
