A1 Taxis Watford

Driver arrived late, made me wait 20 mins and then charged me 5 extra for parking claiming extra parking time.I was quoted a fixed price while booking. Very unprofessional and shady. Do not book with them.

We were delayed by an hour because BA didn't send out luggage in time. And he charged us 32 extra for that. I have the invoice and it only states a fixed fare. In addition, there was no mention on the invoice / confirmation email about extra charges for delays (you have to look in the website terms and there is no rate stated for additional time). I also wasn't told by the driver about this until I pulled up to the driveway. If the amount was reasonable and I was pre-warnedn about this, I would be more understanding. The driver was also using his phone whilst driving on busy roads and was speeding on the M25. This was dangerous, especially when I have kids in the car. I will not be using A1 again after being a loyal customer for years.

Ive used A1 (Initially Choice Berkhamsted) since about 2002 and the service has always been good. The last 6 months, Ive used them more than usual and even at short notice, when no cars have been available, theyve sent a car from well out of the area to do my journey (Making nothing or even potential costing them to do the journey). Nearly always bang on time and an all round great and easy to use taxi firm, from the office booking, to most of the drivers and cars. Brilliant. To top it all off, I needed my receipts from the last year for my tax return and they were all sent through without issue. Professional again. Couldnt recommend highly enough.

Very bad experience. I had my cab booked from Tuesday evening for 8pm this Friday.. and the driver arrived half and hour past with a big mouth,telling me to dont bleam him when outside is raining
