I have been to this pub many times and I can only remember good experiences. The pub has a lovely vibe and amazing fish and chips, it's also child friendly.

My husband and I have been going to The Essex Arms for many years. Today we went there for lunch as a treat, drank half our drinks and then left. They hadn't got the grill turned on , so no grilled food. Really disappointed as it means no mixed grill, my husbands favourite. Came away really unhappy as going out for us is very, very rare, because my husband is very frail and ill. Goodness knows if we will get the chance again.

Ive got ribs chicken wings and chips and salad wasnt what I expected. It was beyond what I expected. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks Essex arms really good staff also
