The main reason I decided to travel here was due to the great reviews, however my experience was not so great (21/04/2022). I drove an hour to get there, paid for parking - walked in and waited to be seen; when someone eventually came out they said they (quote)wont even bother to look at what I needed done as they were just too busy. In fairness they did look quite busy and I could barely walk in as there were boxes & parcels everywhere. However i found the gentlemens matter was quite rude and dismissive, which prompted me to write this review. Anyone hoping to get some expertise on custom hoses should probably ring ahead to make sure theyre not too busy or find somewhere else!

Fantastic place. Friendly and know their stuff. Put together a solution for a corroded oil pipe for me, ordering in parts specially. Honest prices, how all shops should be.

Well what can i say, i came across Custom Hose & fittings by accident. My Range Rover went in for its MOT and service W/c 9th Nov 20. Low and behold it turned out i had a damaged brake line to my calliper which needed urgent replacement. To top it they were not your standard hoses but expensive custom braided brand?. My garage called me at 3pm on the Friday afternoon (2hrs before closing) to say that they had been looking all day (first news to me) and couldn't find the part as it was not standard for this car, infact it turned out that the previous owners had upgraded the front brakes to Overfinch. When the garage initially called around to the RR dealers they advised that they didn't make that hose part, it turns out to be a from well know aftermarket performance accessories dealer from Exeter to world wide and i mean world wide. When i spoke with aftermarket dealer that Friday afternoon they gave me the great sales spiel and that it would take 10-15 working days, (as it was a special part being a brake line) from receipt to returning it back, 15days that's a lifetime without your wheels. The only saving grace for the garage was that they gave me the name of a company in Watford who would be able to do it. So Saturday morning i hot footed it over their to find that they were now closed on Saturdays, (normally they would be open), but for Covid they are now only open M-F, great their web page says business as usual!!!. Out came my trusty Galaxy phone and i spent c15-20mins google searching for an alternative hydraulic specialist / brake line / hose suppliers as i was desperate to get my car back on the road. I found several in or around 20miles radius of my current location, one stood out probably more so as it was the closes and would be open by 9am when i got there and that was CHF. It was only 10mins from my current location on the Watford industrial estate. So to cut a long story short the guy had just opened when i arrived and was finishing off another job. When i showed him the part, to my amazement he said come back by lunch and he'd have it ready, so i asked for 2 one for each side. I then asked as to the end peice (which the garage said was a specialist fitment) he said that it was a standard part which you'll find on most Japanese bikes amazing at what you learn each day. And what was more so fustrating was the lengthy conversation i had with the original world wide supplier, It may of been a ruse in keeping me on the phone it just added to thier coffers, never again. So noon i returned to pick up 2 identical SS braided brake lines for at least half if not a third of the cost and 1/15th of the time. I would definatlly suggest shop local as they're less expensive, better quality plus quicker delivery or collection. Oh, PS my garage was shocked when i turned up Saturday after lunch with the replacement parts less tha 24hrs after they advised me that they couldn't find them (one for the customer) but it still took 2 days to get my car back 'You win some lose some' (yep again one for the garage).... CHF Keep up the quality work and don't disappear you never know when we may need your services again....
