Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night the room was good and clean and the staff on reception were helpful. We was visiting the Harry Potter studios and was a great location as the shuttle bus to the studios was only 2 minute walk from the hotel. My low rating is more towards one particular male member of staff waiting on tables at breakfast. Me and my partner had pre paid to have breakfast the day before. We came down to breakfast and was greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to a table. Unfortunately it was so busy that there was no tables left in the main dining area so we was seated on the sofas with tables which we was completely fine with. The lady also assisted me and helped me bring my breakfast over to the table which was very nice of her. My boyfriend then went back up to the help yourself breakfast buffet to get a coffee, when a male waiter stopped him and asked him where he was going. My boyfriend then replied with Im going to get a coffee and the waiter told him to go to Starbucks and pay for one as the help yourself coffee was only included in the pre paid for breakfast. My boyfriend then told him we had paid and he was going up to get a coffee and he then tried to block his way and kept asking for our room number which he couldnt remember. (I mean we was only there less then 24 hours). The waiter then came over to me as I was sat at the table and rudely asked what our room number was. I then told him wondering what the issue was and I told him I gave our breakfast slip to his colleague he then walked away with no apology and then proceeded to give us dirty looks. This made us both feel uncomfortable and made to feel like thugs. I honestly wish I complained at the time about his attitude now as we felt very awkward sitting trying to enjoy our morning coffee after this. We also got asked at reception if we had any proof we had paid for a parking ticket.. Well theres a ticket in the car window if thats proof? I get staff need to check these things but theres a way of going about it. And to not apologise to us after making us feel like we was robbing and not paying our way is not good customer service. We had a nice stay up till this point..
