Manor View Practice at Callowland

Hopefully, this will be a helpful review for some. I have had both positive and negative experiences at Manor View Callowland. The doctors have been very helpful, informative and thorough. In contrast, I have at times found the nurses and receptionists to be aggressive, rude and argumentative. As someone who has worked in the NHS, I am quite appalled by the behaviour of certain staff. Unfortunately, the negative experiences were quite hurtful and as a result, will not be returning to the practice. Though I live in Watford I will henceforth be using the Bushey branch.

i have been here a few times and yes long waiting time when trying to book an appointment but all in all a very good practice, highly recommend

Worst gp I sow in my life they cannot even book a day to see my problem, i will never go there again

Callowland surgery has gotten exponentially better since they merged with Manor View. I once had a Callowland doctor try to get me to go privately for knee pain when I was clear I couldn't afford it. No NHS alternative offered - she clearly didn't care and wasn't listening. Now I can raise concerns online and have same day contact about something that isn't super urgent. I've called at 8:25am and taken a 'digital number' so they ring me back when it's 'my turn' in the queue - amazing. I was offered a duty doctor appointment and was rung 3 hours later. I had a prescription sent to my pharmacist and in my hands by 2pm. GP even asked at the end of the call if I was happy with the outcome of the consultation, which of course I was. What a turn around!

Having lived in East London/Essex borders and never able to see a GP face to face, the service here has been impeccable in comparison. Absolutely swift and efficient, always manage to get a same day appointment and helpful staff team. Thank you.
