I was extremely nervous as I entered the practice on Market Street with my daughter in February 2023. This is their new premises. Wow, what a difference, I have been using market street dental since 2017 but first time into the new premises. As I went in, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist. I introduced myself and took a seat. We looked around and was very impressed by the ambiance especially as it was a dental practice. There was a big screen TV and we sat there watching underwater marine life! That was very therapeutic and it did help calm down the nerves. I still recall watching the clown fish! We were called in and seen by Dr Darius Sair. The surroundings in the treatment room were very professional, clean and comfortable. My daughter was seen first. She was very nervous but Dr Sair had a common interest with my daughter!. Skiing! That made her feel at ease and actually didn't mind being at the dentist. Then it was my turn. My teeth aren't great and I am always paranoid about revealing my teeth especially after bad dental experiences in the past. Dr Darius did not say anything negative. Instead he remained positive and advised on a treatment plan. We thanked the dentist and we went to the reception and I booked in for my next appointment. My daughter is entitled to an NHS dental treatment as she is 13 BUT, she would prefer to see Dr Darius Sair as a private patient. And so would I to be honest. I had my treatment (2 appointments) and the whole experience was actually ok! I felt comfortable, reassured and confident that I was in safe hands. When the anesthetic wore off later that day, I rang the practice as my filling felt a bit high. I was told to come back the same day! Sometimes I feel like I'm bothering them when I go back to check a filling, but Darius never makes me feel like a pest. The opposite in fact, he makes time for me even after my appointment when I come back with a query. Alice who is a dental nurse and receptionist is a professional, knowledgeable and caring person. It's nice when you finally find a practice that you are happy with. The other staff are great too! If like me you feel nervous prior to a dental appointment, Market Street Dental have an Instagram page. Go check it out as it will help ease the nerves when you see what a great team they are! The reason for my long detailed review is to hopefully help others when looking for a dentist. I am a patient and this is my review based on my own personal experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Market Street dental practice. Thank you all.

Dont go here!! My husband went to this dentist many years and every time he went he was sent away, the dentist mr ali i think his name was kept telling him that he had to keep returning for xrays antibiotics he saw 3 different dentist all recommend different treatments which the other disagreed with. he didn't give him any other treatment unless it was private. I personally was shocked after my husbands 4th attempt to get care that i went with him. The lies and the i dont care attitude was awful from this dentist. So we changed dentist to one on St Albans Road and first appointment he got scans a referral and a treatment plan for 3 fillings and she explain explained everything to us with professionalism. I really wouldn't recommend this dentist. He really only cares about money and if your a nhs patient then I 100% wouldn't go! This dentist neglected my husbands dental care for many many months without noticing or arranging the appropriate treatment.
