Marcel's Watford

Decent venue but the door staff are a relic of the past. They have for some reason become the fashion police. They want skinny jeans or suits and any variation from the doorman's ideals results in being told to 'go home and get changed'. Even when the venue is empty they will turn you away for your choice of trousers despite them needing the business. On two separate occasions I have approached the venue in new and clean trousers but the doorman has decided that corduroy is 'inapropriate' and untouched work trousers aren't a 'good fit' for what was an empty venue at the time. Lovely bar staff but a doorman who seems to think he works for the Ritz.

I called in for a quick quite drink before I had to perform at The Horns nearby. Marcels has a nice atmosphere about it, I was the only customer when I but I was made to feel welcome. I'm not sure what the building was before but ithas the impression of being a bank at some time springs to mind.

As a previous worker for Gordon Group in maze grill in Mayfair, let me I tell you something about that venue, wonderful services, safe security and generous owner who looks after every customer as the same value, I believe if this venue is open for more days more attractive activities like exchange language will be more then welcome. All the best for brilliant team worker. We love Marcels.
