Rice Bowl

For the past ten years , the Rice Bowl has always been one of our favourite Chinese take away. The food is exquisite , aromatic, well presented with generous portions. Each time we place our order on the phone, this friendly gentleman is always polite & welcoming. All in all, Rice Bowl is highly recommended!

Ordered crispy shredded beef, squid, vegetable noodles and crispy tofu. All fine - Fair price and big portions. Had to write a review though for the crispy shredded beef, its the best I had in a long long time. In many Chinese restaurant, you barely get any meat on those, just thin deep fried batter. Here however, its chunky and well prepared (took the picture until I already had half of it unfortunately :P ).

Absolutely ridiculously tasteless and nasty Chinese place. I am old enough to have sampled enough Chinese restaurants and this is by far the worst. Wok express was closed so had to opt for here... I smelt a cheesy smell instantly which should not be aparent with Chinese food and found it was the so called satay chicken. I don't know what was off but have never tasted anything like it. Not one hint of satay chicken flavour. I have actually opened the door and window to air out the cheesy smell. Everything else was meh. All the other dishes tasted the same. Watery and tasteless. Coming from and working in China Town, this is hands down the worst and dirtiest tasting Chinese I've ever tasted in all my years. P's I never give reviews but felt this was needed
