Came in to just sit and have a coffee, staff were helpful and lovely as usual. For the 30 minutes I was there the atmosphere was great and it was a nice place to just relax. Would return again!

A rainy bank holiday Monday. I dived into Simmons for a sit down to do some of my university assignment and wait for the rain to ease. I ordered a buttered croissant. 2.70!!!!! The lady that served me was asked me if I wanted a drink with it. I said no! I sat down and waited for my croissant and had to listen to her moaning on to the young girl about their being no coleslaw etc. customers that came in tried to make conversation with her and she was curt to say the least. I was sat in Simmons for around half an hour (no more) doing my work and eating my croissant when I heard the lady say how it really annoys her Im guessing/pretty sure she was talking about me sitting there having finished my food and still being there. I also think she had summonsed if brought coffee in from somewhere else as I had the cup on the table. Wrong. I really think it is rude and unacceptable for staff to make comments about customers and seeing as I was the only person actually sitting in there I was shocked. I packed up my laptop and left my 2.70 worth of empty plate on the table. I will never go in there again and if I could give minus stars I would. Everything thats wrong with customer service in England.

Came in on Sunday after a very tough day. Dog drowned in the local canal and was just so upset. I ordered a bacon roll to try and cheer myself up and the lovely blonde and tall brunette staff where so helpful and really cheered me up. They said they was very sorry to hear about my dog and where so polite and helpful. Really want to thank them both for their lovely words and for their great attitudes at work. Am looking forward to coming back in. P.S. the bacon roll was excellent!
