I booked The Brambles after rading all the great reviews, and the room and bathroom were very pleasant and clean. Breakfast was good although by the second morning I was very concerned about gluten cross-contamination in the kitchen. I am a coeliac and required gluten free bread but the regular toaster was used and we watched the GF bread get sliced on the bread board just used for normal toast. We also saw my partner's toast get dropped on the floor of the kitchen, picked up and put back in the toast rack before being served. I was also very disappointed when the cleaner was trying to access my room to clean during the middle of my stay while I was getting ready for a wedding, and then was told by the proprietor Bob I should have left that morning at 10am, despite our booking also being for that night. During this, the door was opened into the room on two occasions while I was not fully dressed, despite both Bob and the cleaner being aware I was still in the room. We both felt very uncomfortable after that and were concerned about privacy. The Brambles was a convenient place to stay but I would not recommend it.
