We spent all summer at the River Nene Cottages as my husband was in England for work, and this property is a delight! 1) Location couldn't be better. First, situated in an idyllic, sleepy village (yet an easy train ride into London). Second, large, private manicured backyard backs up to the Nene River. Third, step outside the cottage and you're immediately met with miles and miles of trails across the countryside and along the river to villages, pubs and coffee shops. Fourth, private, well-maintained pool on property. Fifth, many outdoor sitting areas to enjoy nature. 2) And each of the three cottages as well as the rooms in the main house are all beautifully decorated and very clean. 3) And finally, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the delightful innkeepers, Philip and Stephen, who never miss an opportunity to make you feel like welcome guests and soon-to-be friends.
