        Great home cooked food & real ales. Unable to comment on rooms as didn't stay over. Nearby activities: Close to Wasdale and Wasdale head. One of the primary centres of mountaineering in the Lake District.

        We popped in to sample the beer and have a nice lunch only to be told by the lady behind the bar that they weren't serving meals due to the evening before being extremely busy so they hadn't had time to prep for lunchtime. The website stated they were open for food at 12 we turned up about 1. Very disappointing hope things improve for the Easter Bank holiday.
