They cancelled our reservation while we are in the air during 9 hours international flight. When we landed it was late afternoon/evening and we were basically homeless in foreign city with kids. I couldn't comprehend what can make a hotel "close permanently" without any advanced notice. The only thing I could come up with it that the London Marathon put them on high demand so they cancelled our relatively cheap reservation and sold the room many times more expensive to the huge croud that came for the marathon. "Thank you" for the stress you caused me. Edit to respond: We certainly were not relocated to any location. We received our money back but we had to book ourselves another hotel which was much more expensive because it was a last minute booking.

Our reservation is cancelled 1 day before arrival. We have booked 5 months ago and were now forced to book a new hotel in stress. I have never experienced anyhting like this, this is very very very bad. I hope there is a good reason for treating your customers like this. I booked with Booking but to be honest they only have made a suggestion for another (very low budget) place to stay but it feels very unpersonal.
