Refund policy is wholly unfair to customers and staff are (perhaps wilfully) ignorant of statutory rights to a refund. For transparency, I have been into store to ask (in person) for a refund - I was not willing to accept a credit note (it is my right to request a refund to the payment card). Why do you have a policy which only the owner / area manager can issue refunds and not the store manager? The policy itself seems regressive and designs to prevent customers from exercising their statutory rights.
