Possibly the most disappointing service ever received for one of many Subaru recalls. Firstly no courtesy cars as "Subaru pay us very little for the recall work." Then when had to reschedule the recall work as the parts had not arrived in time. Waiting for work to be done completed as booked 1 month in advance, the garage was unable to complete the work in the allotted 2.5hrs as "another part is needed" and "we do not know which cars need the extra part or not until they are here. (at this point, i should have asked for my car back to get the work completed elsewhere). I then get dropped back at work without a car as they hope to complete the work before the end of the day. Once work is completed i receive a phone call to let me know that the work is all completed and i asked if the driver was coming to collect me so that i may collect my car and was assured that the same (charming) driver was coming to get me. Upon the driver's arrival at my work, i noticed that he was in my car! I had not given permission for him or anyone at Roxby Subaru to drive my car to collect me, let alone the fact that i would have to drop him back to Warsash! Not the driver's fault or choice of vehicle, he was doing as instructed by service managers. When i arrived back at the dealership, the driver apologised that he had used my car and and i went into the aftersales reception to express my concern and disquiet that they had not asked permission to use my car to collect me. The After Sales staff confirmed that they don't offer courtesy cars or drop off or pickup without charging for it (none of this was stated before i was dropped back to work earlier in the day). They After sales staff made me feel that I was in the wrong and that it was not a problem as the driver was insured to use my car on their company insurance policy. Surely insurance requires for the owner to give permission for the car to be driven? I will never recommend or ever Roxby Subaru ever again - a truly disappointing experience and i warn you all to stay away if you are only going there for manufacturer recall work. I have heard nice things about one of the sales managers, but the female after-sales staff that i experienced in the afternoon appeared to simply not care. The young man on the after sales desk in the morning was charming and did his very best to get my recall work done suggesting that parts due in for another car could be fitted to my car. Such a stark contrast in experience across one day in one dealership...
