Team Sukata Warrington

Just show up!!! I was terrified to even show up, one night I drove there... Walked up the stairs... Opened the door, immediately shut it and drove home in shame. The next week I got the courage to go back... I needn't have had any concerns. I am a 31 year old out of shape supervisor in a bingo hall and I feel as welcome and included as the purple belt competitor, who is in peak physical condition. It is tough, hard expert training which pushes you to your limit but it is exactly everything I want. From my limited experience here, I find that the entire ethos of the lessons are built on respect for all, you are only on the mat a second before you are instructed to shake every one of your training partners hands. You will be "beaten" and tapped in all of your sparring sessions in your first weeks and probably months you go and that shows just how good the instruction is. In all the sparring sessions I have had here I've not felt any malice or ill intent from any of the other students there. I doubt kojak or nooney would allow it, and more often than not you only have to ask the student you were sparring with for them to show you how they got into the position and submission to which you tapped out from and they will gladly oblige. Do not be scared or concerned, as kojak and nooney say "you've done the hard part by showing up" and that is exactly the point. Starting to train here is probably in the top 3 of scary things I have done in my life but also one of the most fulfilling and exciting challenges I will ever take. Team sukata is for everyone and you will feel part of the team, I do after only two weeks!!! Love everything about the loft and I'm so glad I chose this place to try this amazing sport!!!

Perfect Brazilian Jiujitsu school for everyone. Team Sukata Warrington is very advanced in training for all grades that brings the best out of everyone at the academy. It has a friendly, supportive atmosphere with great people to train with. I'am loving the journey with Team Sukata and would recommend to anyone wanting to take up Brazilian Jiujitsu to start here.
