KB Joinery have made and installed bespoke windows and doors for my property. They have shown a great deal of skill and attention to detail, doing everything they can to meet my demanding standards. The front door especially has drawn a great deal of praise. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm.

We hired Keith of KB Joinery after he quoted for a staircase cladding at the cost of 2,500. We had only just moved into a brand new house and were aiming to complete decorating and furnishing as quickly as possible because we have 3 young children and wanted to make the move as painless as possible for them. Keith was available immediately and previous feedback looked like he was a safe bet. He was then hired via MyBuilder to commence work. We paid Keith a grand total of 1,200 over 4 days of working before we realised just how poor the job was turning out to be, we then had to then tell Keith to leave the job. The finish is incredibly poor, the wood used too thick, there is no lip on the steps for a carpet runner to grip onto, the strings are laughable, with gaps all over the place. There has been a trim just nail gunned into place with no care for matching or joining any wood together. All of the stairs will now need to be pulled up, this can potentially weaken the staircase underneath. Also, to add insult to injury, we paid 3,500 for a herringbone solid wood floor to be put down, Keith and his son managed to damage the floor after it being laid for 2 days. There are scuffs, scratches and dints all in the areas they were working as they had machinery inside the house. I can provide photographic evidence of the terrible work carried out. I have now had 4 carpenters and joiners over to quote on fixing the mess left by KB joinery all of whom have said that the work is beyond bad and completely un salvagable. This man has walked into our new family home, quoted for a job he did not have the skill to complete and started working and making it up as he went along. Keith has now informed us that he has spent all of our money and after initially offereing to give us a refund, has now gone completely quiet and is not answering any correspondence. We do not believe that we will get our money back and now have to pay to have the cladding removed, possibly the stairs repaired and then the stairs to be re-clad. I would avoid at ALL COSTS.
