Alder Garden services

Be very careful. I paid 770 upfront for a design. It took 3 months to get the design. It took 12 months to get a quote!!!!!. The quote when it arrived was more than double the budget I put on the application and verbal. The start date was continually being put back, by 10 months in the end. Not to mention the stressful times waiting for response to emails. The plot was deceiving, but they had the plot measurements for a year. When I tried to get close to my budget by removing large areas, they added items that I thought were in the original quote but apparently had been missed off and offers had been taken back, so I was fighting a losing battle and had to walk away losing my design fee of 770, my retirement savings. 18 months later I have to start all over again. I emailed to say it was an agonising decision, but I would not be able to move forward with the project as I couldn't get close, and I have heard nothing since. We had a very difficult project with everything from very restricted access, to a multiple level garden to crazy raw material prices and an impending birth but Martin, Laura and Matt always had solutions and ideas to get around all our challenges. We absolutely love our garden transformation and the work Alder did for us - so much so we have asked the team back for more work to our front! Service: Landscape design

We have used the services of Alder Garden Services for many years, whether it be may be regular maintenance or re-design, and have always found their work to be of the highest standard. More recently we have had a very large landscaping project undertaken by them and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. Alder designed the rear garden (for which we received CAD type drawings and images) to include three large porcelain patio areas, a bespoke water feature and summer house/cabin and the quality of their workmanship has been excellent. They are currently replacing our driveway with stone blocks which is taking shape very nicely. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience and are both extremely helpful and professional.
