Had an abscess on my lower gum. Called my dentist who advised that I was taken off their list in 2022 for missing an appointment even though I called to say I couldnt make it due to having bowel surgery. So then frantically called lots of dentists who said no were not taking on NHS patients. Finally rang Sankey Street Dental practice and the receptionist was lovely and was supportive. They took me on. I soon had an appointment with Dr David who did an x ray and showed me the abscess. He attempted a root canal but that didnt work so he took the tooth out. Dr David also did a couple of fillings elsewhere in my mouth and gave my teeth a good clean. Abscess is now gone and the pain gone. I found Dr David brilliant, he explained what was happening all the way through and what he had found and what was needed to be done. He talked me through the treatment also as he was doing it. I found the whole practice absolutely spotless clean also. All the staff on the reception, the dental nurses and Dr David was excellent. Im glad my old dentist took me off their list otherwise I would never of found this excellent dentist. Very happy patient. Thanks

I have been with this dentist for around 5yrs, I had missed my appointment because I had just come out of hospital having had a mastectomy, I rang to say I was sorry I missed my appointment, the practice manager was very aggressive about me missing the appointment, I didn't get chance to explain why, I just said I will leave it for now, I rang back the following week to speak to owner, the receptionist said she was stuck in traffic, I asked who I had spoke the week before she said the practise manager, I told the receptionist she had been very aggressive, and said that I had never missed an appointment, she said you missed one in 2018, I was upset I couldn't speak, I said thanks bye, the reason I had miss that appointment was because my mother had died, it has all been very upsetting.

Had a broken tooth, I asked for tooth extraction and a dental implant, cash upfront. The dentist David ensured me I didn't need this treatment. A ceramic inlay would be more than suitable. I stated I wanted the best treatment my money can get me. Within 2 weeks after receiving the treatment I was getting sensitivity in the tooth so I went back. He told me it wasn't the treatment being ineffective it was to do with pores in the tooth and advised me to rub sensodyne toothpaste on my tooth every hour of the day. I told him I would happily pay for an implant to have no sensitivity. Then he told me he couldn't offer this treatment anyway. So basically he gave me the best treatment he could offer, not what my money can get. Now the Tooth is decaying, the inlay has moved and is cutting my tongue and cheek, as well as the sensitivity growing worse by the day. He told me because it's not causing me any pain, it's okay to not give me an effective treatment that costs more and tried to justify it by saying he's had sensitive teeth for 20 years. Please avoid this dentist at all costs, terrible service, terrible advice and they will sell you short.
