        Totally totally unacceptable. Went to branch on 23 December to order new card. Went on 24 December to confirm. Card never arrived. Contacted bank through app was assumed card would arrive last week. Contacted bank via app today and was told card has not even been ordered. This has caused serious financial hardship. This is totally incompetent.

        This has to be the worst building society I have ever had to deal with! I recently lost my mother in law who unfortunately banks with nationwide. The hoops weve had to go through to close her account has been an absolute joke. We are 4 weeks in and still nothing has been done. They are not digital ie wont use email to send forms to sign and dont to bank transfers only cheques. We have been to the branch several times now to be told the forms are in the post. Do not give them your money because they will not give it back to you easily! Her other account with another bank closed in three days!! Nationwide you need to update your policies and your customer service.
