If I could give 0 stars I would. We entered the shop with our dog and asked one of the staff members who had bent down to stroke him if we were okay to have him in here. She didnt answer. Another staff member also stroked him and said hello. Nothing was said to us about not being able to have him in the shop. We ordered 4 drinks and some cake. On the counter were dog treats. We were told to take a seat and our drinks and cake would be brought over. We did this and the dog laid under the table and fell asleep. After about 10 minutes, an older member of staff approached us and said the dog couldnt be inside due to health and safety, but we were welcome to sit outside. 1. It was cold outside, hence we chose to sit inside. 2. We asked a member of staff and was ignored. 3. Its not health and safety its hygiene concerns. 4. Whats more of a concern was that 2 members of staff stroked him and proceeded to carry on serving without washing their hands. Safe to say we got our refund and will not be returning and will be passing this on. Having worked and managed in catering for many years, I was disappointed by the service we received. Totally understand if dogs are not welcome inside, but lets not pretend its health and safety, when whats truly unhygienic is staff not washing their hands after touching him.
