Ceolwulph Cottage is a superb 5* house, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in Warkworth, Northumberland. Thanks to its owner, who is dedicated to making sure you have a great holiday, the place is spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and very well equipped with private, off street parking. The conservatory is a great bonus, overlooking the lovely, well kept garden. Watching the sun rise in the morning, with the geese flying overhead on their way to the sea is magical. Only a two minute walk to one of the pubs and a few minutes more to the centre of the village with its cafes, gift shops and more pubs. Easy walks to the beach and the river side. We do so hope to return again soon.

We have really enjoyed ourselves this week in luxurious surroundings: lovely property tastefully decorated, spacious and with all the equipment you might need, clean and tidy everywhere and not least a bright, lovely garden room that leads out to a cozy, English garden. The holiday home has a perfect setting in the idyllic village of Warkworth with its well-preserved medieval castle, church and hermitage. You get the feeling that the city is almost untouched by modern life and tourism. Between the castle and the church there are several pubs, coffee shops and tea rooms, galleries, shops etc. The river Qoquet meanders gallantly around the town and attracts a rich birdlife. It is about 1.5 km to the beautiful coast with its long, white sandy beaches. The area is perfect for adventures and outdoor activities. Here you can e.g. walk in the footsteps of the Vikings, cycle and walk along national hiking routes. If you need help getting around, there are regular buses. It is never far to new experiences and the next village, here Amble, Alnmouth, Craster and Lindisfarne can be mentioned. The Northumberland coast, the driest area in England, is a true natural gem well worth adding to your holiday list. And Ceowulph Cottage is the perfect place to stay for those who want to find peace surrounded by quality and with a homely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Vi har virkelig kost oss denne uken i luksurise omgivelser: nydelig eiendom smakfult innredt, romslig og med alt du mtte trenge av utstyr, rent og ryddig overalt og ikke minst en lys, lekker hagestue som frer ut til en koselig, engelsk hage. Feriehuset har en perfekt setting i den idylliske landsbyen Warkworth med sitt vel bevarte middelalderslott, kirke og hermitage. Du fr flelse av at byen er nesten urrt av modene liv og turisme. Mellom slottet og kirken finnes flere puber, kaffebarer og tea-rooms, galleri, butikker m.m. Elven Qoquet slynger seg gallant rundt byen og tiltrekker seg et rikt fugleliv. Det er ca 1,5 km til den vakre kysten med sine lange, hvite sandstrender. Omrdet er perfekt for opplevelser og friluftsaktiviteter. Her kan du bl.a. g i Vikingenes fotspor, sykle- og vandre langs nasjonale tur-ruter. Trenger du hjelp til forflytning, gr det regelmessige busser. Det er aldri langt til nye opplevelser og neste landsby, her kan nevnes Amble, Alnmouth, Craster og Lindisfarne. Northumberland-kysten, det trreste omrdet i England, er en sann naturperle som er vel verdt ha p ferielisten. Og Ceowulph Cottage er det perfekte stedet bo for deg som nsker finne roen omgitt av kvalitet og med en hjemmekoselig atmosfre. Anbefales p det varmeste.
