A delightful Saxon church built on the site of an older church. It's presence is one of the reasons Wareham retained it's town wall when so many other towns lost theirs. The church contains an effigy of TE Lawrence, who died nearby, and a number of much oldesr frescoes.

A beautiful small Saxon church oozing with history across the walls. Wareham is a fantastically historic town and the church is well worth a visit. The memorial to T.E. Lawrence was a surprise but incredibly interesting to read up on in the church.

Beautiful little church with origins dating back to Saxon times, so there are sections that are over 1,000 years old. There are interesting frescoes and memorials painted on the walls and a memorial effigy of TE Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). Well worth a visit if you have a spare half hour.

A millenium old church dating from saxon times. There was a volunteer keeping the church open on 12th August at 3 pm. Thanks to her for letting tourists admire this wonder.
