Nice pub featured in Thomas Hardy's books. Good lunch and friendly service. Excellent gardens with tables to eat at.

Lovely place, great relaxed feeling with the regulars we meet there being the same. The food was nice and clean (no cauliflower cheese though, lol) and was well above par with as was the friendly service. But some confusion behind the bar ordering drinks and wondered if they were new or relief cover for the time being. I highly recommend this truly British country pub.

Little changed, not a bad thing tbh, popular with locals and passers by, in its woodland setting - albeit with passing traffic crossing Wareham Forest; friendly and helpful staff, food well presented and reasonably priced; good choice of beers, lagers etc; parking may be an issue at peak times; good outside space, weather permitting; well worth a visit if visiting area.
