Sadly our dog did not appear to have the best experience here. She boarded there for 2 nights. The lady dropping off was very nice and polite. However on collection I found the owner/manager very curt. I received little to no information as to how my dog settled in. When I got home I realised that my dog had sustained an injury to her mouth. I was not given the opportunity to check her when I picked her up. The lady for some bizarre reason thought it would be acceptable to bring my timid dog out where other dogs were running loose. My poor dog was petrified. I dont understand why she didnt put them away before bringing another dog out?! I phoned them as soon as I got in asking for an explanation for the injury. All they could say was that maybe another dog told her off. They were unable to account for the injury. They did however offer to pay for any vet costs. I also noticed that my dogs lead, which was not cheap & harness which certainly wasnt cheap had been chewed through. The owner blamed it on my dog.when I asked about how this happened I also received a response of well sometimes when the dogs are timid its better to leave them be I also dont understand why these items had been left in an area that the dogs could reach. They clearly werent checked regularly. I also noticed that my dog had been fed about 4/5 days worth of food over 2 days as she came home with less than half a bag of food when she had been sent in with a whole one. I feel so sad that this was my dogs first experience at a kennel. The lady Vicky was lovely but some customer service needs to be learnt here. I will not be using Africandawns again.

Highly recommend Jackie and her team. A longer drive for me but def more comfortable knowing my dog is with them.

I dreaded this post but its necessary. We dropped our 14 year old Maltese who has a heart condition and require daily medication off for 4 nights and when she came back home from holiday she was very sick. Our usual kennel was all booked so we decided to bring her here since she had stayed briefly before. We left very detailed instructions on her medication requirements to avoid error or confusion. She was doing very well prior to dropping her off. When we Picked her up We immediately noticed that she had been coughing a lot and within 24 hours we had to rush her to the emergency vet. She was barely breathing. The vet told me that her pulse was very low and she was in really bad condition and gave me the option to put her down or leave her with them for 6 hours in an oxygen tank, hooked to ivs to see if it would bring her back. It was devastating and we spent a fortune to save our pup. I will never consider this place again. I would rather cancel any plans before having to bring her here. Thank god she seems to be recovering slowly. We just knew we were going to lose her. Please reconsider leaving your dogs here especially if they require special attention.
