We contacted Simon because of a persistent over-heating problem with our narrow boat's engine. Simon arrived at the mooring at the agreed time and got straight down to business. Our boat is old and the set-up is unorthodox and a bit gimcrack - a previous owner had shoehorned a generator engine into it. Because of this - and not having met Simon before - I was prepared for him not wanting to get involved but he wasn't fazed by any of this in the slightest. He successfully and efficiently identified and fixed the problem and was happy to talk me through it so that I had a better understanding of how the cooling system works. Simon charged a very reasonable rate and, more to the point, restored our boat to something we can use and enjoy with full confidence (we'd lost some sleep over it previously). I couldn't recommend Simon highly enough and the money we spent on his call-out was very well spent indeed. A great service. Adrian and Victoria. (Moored at Great Bedwyn).

if I could give 10 stars I would! Our boat broke down on the river and he was able to fix it the same evening! Very helpful, friendly and gave us lots of good advice.

Simon is excellent. We had an overheat problem on our narrowboat the lock keeper had heard about our problem before we arrived at the lock and already phoned ahead! So when someone has recommendations of the locals like that - you know you are in safe hands. Simon came out late Saturday and went through the whole cooling system to double check the diagnosis of the stuck thermostat. And I even managed to twist his arm into fitting us a Stirling Alternator Battery charger the next week - which works like a charm. End up with a boat problem in the Oxford area - then Simon will give you 101% service.

Simon and his brother (sorry didnt catch his name) were brilliant. Professional, super knowledgeable, and thoroughly lovely fellas. They came and serviced my new boat, and gave me lots of invaluable advice about further maintenance. If were within in range with a problem I wont call anyone else.
