Surrey Lofts

We had the old Surrey Lofts start our project and Leigh and his team Surrey lofts Walton Ltd finish it and when the handover happened, we felt more assured and confident about everything The team turned up as promised, had a great work ethic and attitude and the finish is excellent. Leigh brought ideas to the work in progress, which meant a better outcome - I.e. an additional velux above the staircase, which throws light in, whereas it could have been a dark space without his instinct and experience. The plasterers created smooth rounded finishes that look great, rather than angular joins. Highly recommend the team and Leigh I will post some photos too Martin

Surrey Lofts Walton started work on our house 5 weeks ago and have made amazing progress. Time is of the essence for us and they are moving at pace to meet our timeline. The project involves stripping out an old house, replacing plumbing and electrics, moving walls, replacing a dormer, new windows, new kitchen, new bathrooms ... the list goes on. As building costs had risen so much, we were struggling to find a builder to work with who could meet our brief. Leigh helped us rework our plans so we could achieve as much as possible within our budget, before we signed a contract. He's been professional and helpful to deal with and all the guys on site have been working hard every time I've been there. From sales, to project management, trades and labourers - everyone has been great to deal with - answering questions, explaining what they're doing, making suggestions, etc. Can't wait to see the finished result.

I would highly recommend Surrey Lofts Walton. They were well priced, worked very efficiently and I am very pleased with the end result. The interior and exterior look really cohesive and well integrated into the existing structure, as opposed to what I see when comparing to other loft conversions in my area of Surbiton, of which there are many examples, where the loft conversion can look like a bolted on afterthought. The new MD, Leigh Philips, who took over the company before my works began, is very approachable and responsive in communications. He has a hands-on understanding of all aspects of the works and he personally project-manages every job. He was also great at managing any concerns my neighbours had, and was always happy to put them at ease on my behalf.

Overall the project took 5.5 months despite the contract giving an initial estimate of 8 to 10 weeks. Much of the delay was due to poor project management and communication, which has since been acknowledged by Leigh, however this was greatly improved once he personally took over the project approx 4 months in. Work was completed to a reasonable standard and we were happy with the majority of the tradesmen involved. We were particularly impressed by the professionalism shown by the electricians who were courteous and respectful when working in our home. Unfortunately the aforementioned delays and communication issues have tarnished the experience, however we do believe that if Leigh had been directly involved from the outset it would have been a much more positive experience overall

We were very pleased with our experience with Surrey Lofts Walton LTD. Leigh was fantastic throughout and was easy to contact if and when needed. Our builder was Timmy, very nice man, who could not do enough for us. He had some great ideas on the building of the loft conversion. We had two rooms put on and one with a shower room. The workmanship was at the highest quality and no expense spared on building materials. Timmy said that he was going to build the best loft conversion in the road and I do believe he did. All of Leighs guys, plumber, electricians, plasterers were all great guys, polite, friendly, trustworthy and all did a very good job. As I said before we were very pleased with our loft conversion and would highly recommend Leigh. I have added a few photos but I am still decorating at the moment and hope to add some more when it is finished.
