First time going there with the kids and honestly it was the worse visit! It was dirty the carpet was filthy and there was overfilled rubbish everywhere. Toilets were filthy! Food was absolute shambles ordered the food then 5 minutes later the woman said one of the meals they didn't have even tho she charged me then ordered something different waited nearly an hour once asked she said she doesn't remember the order and did I get a receipt even tho she served me and didn't give me one. Only good thing was the rock climbing absolutely amazing the woman behind the kiosk brilliant how they manage to do it all and the attendants on the rock climbing were really helpful and patient with my little boy. Unfortunately will not be going again wish I could refund the whole day Clacton pier better!

1st time here, great day out loads to do on pier and food is good. Beach was clean and water still perfect for paddle board.

Such a missed opportunity given the recent renovations - still looks like a scrap yard out the front and not much better when you exit the amusements to walk up the pier (which by the way is closed off halfway down with no explanation). The interior is dark and oppressive, lending itself to a seedy casino rather than a family venue. Compare this pier to Clacton and its night and day. Such a shame as this could be a fantastic destination for locals and tourists but it seems like the owners have given up on it
