        Always helpful and have a great range for a small store! It's nice that they are locally owned and run as well.

        Having just moved to the area it was such a pleasure to discover Thorntons a traditional, family run hardware store with old style service. Brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and the range of goods available allied to the knowledge of the staff ( Helen was amazing ) means never having to visit a generic souless chain stores again. Marvellous news. As well as all the benefits outlined above Thorntons is also competitive with their pricing. That said, I'd pay a little extra to ensure that independent stores such as this adorn our high streets for years to come. If you don't see it, ask.
