We could not recommend Paul Baines and his garden design business enough. He has been brilliant from start to finish, listening to our ideas and what we wanted to achieve but also bringing his own expertise and experience to have the confidence to say when he thought something was a good or bad idea. He is organised, does what he says he will do and brings a great balance of consistency, class and flow to his designs. He is also a professional and fair person/business to deal with and is always there when you need him. Paul was recommended by a friend, and was an excellent contact from the very first meeting. He listened to what we were aiming for, came up with an idea, measured up and put it on a plan, asked for our ideas for plants, added some of his own and introduced us to his landscaping team. They were wonderful to work with and nothing was too much trouble including moving a greenhouse and a shed to new sites with electric and water connections. We modified a couple of things during the work carried out and we have been left with exactly what we wanted. Just want it to be Spring now so it all starts growing. Highly recommended! Absolutely delighted with my 2 new gardens that Paul designed for me. Paul came to my home and we had a lovely informal chat about what it was I wanted from my garden, along with likes and dislikes, direction of the sun from rise to set and my favourite colours amongst other things. Being new to the area after spending my whole life in London, I wasn't used to the different modes and qualities that coastal gardens need and bring... Paul's expertise in design and plants was an absolute God-send, as I wanted a garden that reflected my spiritual nature... somewhere for me to meditate and contemplate... somewhere I could sense my Mum and Dad... somewhere for me to be at peace and glad to be in so I can get lost in my books even in the bleakest of winters and warmest of summers - and, Paul has created something even better than I'd hoped. The whole process was well thought out, and flowed with fluidity from first chat, to final design, from choice of landscaper to final plant in the ground. Whilst I left everything to Paul, I was kept informed every step of the way, and everything was run past me for my approval. Absolutely blown away with Paul's friendly yet professional approach. We spoke, he listened, he delivered, and I'm delighted. Would I recommend him? Yes, a hundred times over with 5 stars every time! Paul has completely re-designed our entire garden. It has been an absolute pleasure working with not only Paul but also his planting team. Paul understood our wishes for what sort of garden we wanted to achieve and his calm understanding was most appreciated. Our journey through this project has been nothing but a pleasure and we are now enjoying a beautiful product of Paul's excellent imagination.
