    Kiosk-sized, but well stocked fundraising shop for the RNLI, located on the steep hillside overlooking Walton Pier. The red-brick building is interesting for its display of local mariners' information, including a barometer & clock. Wall boards list all the call outs attended by the numerous Walton lifeboats over the decades, ranging from the mundane, to those that hit the headlines & became the stuff of local legend. There's another plaque that was presented by representatives of the pirate radio ships, once moared in the nearby North Sea, & had to be attended to by lifeboat crews during the worst weather. Actually a more interesting visit than the RNLI museum up the road that only opens once in a blue moon...
