Dealer will offer half the market trade in on your own car, yet they list cars well over market price and give it the full on sales talk when dealing with them, like saying only one previous owner instead of saying the car has had 2 owners tricks like that, buyer beware, do your homework first and don't be bullied by them.

Drove 120 miles to view a car that looked impeccable in the photos and was priced accordingly. When I saw it in person it had scuff marks all along the offside panels. They offered to fix it up but every panel had rough feeling paint, clearly from a bad overspray. Also 3 wheel close up pictures were used on Auto Trader - on closer examination it's the same good wheel used 3 times! The other 3 had kerb damage. I asked if the car was part exchanged but was told it was bought at auction. Probably an unrecorded accident damaged/repaired. The same company also trade as "Stirling Cars" (same address) - totally dodgy.

Buyer beware Listed as 1 previous owner and under 20,000 miles on Autotrader, with "service history". On Trade Cars site: 2 owners; actual mileage 20703; indeed a service history, just not a full service history - miselading. MOTed before delivery, but back nearside tyre arrived with bulging perished sidewall, slowly leaking air. Agreed a delivery time, presented with a fait accompli of a new delivery time, goalposts and arrival time kept changing - lack of open, honest communication. Car arrived with only one key - no mention of this anywhere. Agreed to send car handbook months ago - I've chased multiple times, but of course this hasn't arrived either. Car clearly been in the wars, don't know those details, but at least after 5k miles hasn't had any mechanical issues.
