Medi Meze Lounge

We have been here twice within 2 weeks. Both for birthday celebrations. On our 1st visit we were pleasantly welcomed by the staff. We ordered our food drinks & shisha. The food was great & the shisha was spot on. We asked for the bill & paid between us all. Not realising we had just paid over 30 service charges, noone mentioned this too us. We visited again last night, ordered our food & drinks & shisha. The chips were saltier than McDonald's. The mains arrived they seemed fine, the chicken was just a tad bit dry & under marinated. It came to paying the bill, we were rushed by the waitress to pay. We were yet to workout each person's bill & she again mentioned we needed to pay within seconds of each transaction. We noticed there was a service charge of 22+ when we questioned the waitress she said its optional. We asked her to void it off the bill, but it was to late as we started paying. So she rushed us to pay but never mentioned the service charge. We paid over 50 service charge on 2 visits. The restaurant makes good money on service charge alone. The shisha wasn't as great as expected. Not sure we will be visiting again. The menu is very limited, also you have to order your sides separately to your main meal which I find off putting.

Food was absolutely amazing. Some of the best chicken I've ever had. Staff were friendly and got us everything we needed. Atmosphere was fun and friendly. Only downside is that the portion sizes are quite small for the price you pay but the taste makes everything worth it.
